Cold milling machines from Wirtgen America Inc. remove deteriorated
pavement to exacting thicknesses, so roadways may be effectively
resurfaced.
The reclaimed asphalt pavement (RAP) can be reused in permanent
hot mix asphalt plants without any additional processing. Cold milling
machines from Wirtgen are also used to remove strips of asphalt
pavement for utility trench work.
The complete line of 14 milling machines sold in North America
is designed to meet all various requirements for processing pavement,
from partial repair of small areas, to complete removal of entire
road surfaces.
| The line includes models
from the three-wheel W 35, which offers 14-inch wide cuts for
detail work around manholes, drainage inlets and cul-de-sacs,
to the four-track W 2200, with its minimum cutting width of
86.6 inches (2200 mm), designed for high-volume profiling up
to 13.7 inches deep. |

Wirtgen's track models are designed for superior traction over a
wide range of materials. They are specially suited in thin lift
applications where tracks are required to support the weight of
the machine.
Unlike competitive three-track models, Wirtgen four-track profilers
have been proven to provide far greater cutting accuracies over
a wide range of applications.
