Electrical Service School - All Milling Machines & Recyclers
Who should attend:
The Electrical Service School is intended for persons dealing with in-depth technical aspects of maintenance and repair of milling machines and recyclers. Those who attend this school should have prior experience in performing general mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical repairs. No prior knowledge of Wirtgen equipment is required.
Overview:
Emphasis will be placed on, reading and understanding Wirtgen electrical schematics, the interlink list, the CGC display and conventional electrical test equipment to trouble-shoot problems in Wirtgen electrical systems. Although it is not an electrical topic, drum maintenance will be covered. The class will be a combination of lecture, hands-on lab exercises, and hands-on shop exercises.
Grade control operation will not be covered in this class as it was in previous years. For an in-depth coverage on this topic students should enroll in the 2-day Preventive Maintenance and Grade Control class or the Hydraulics class.
The techniques of milling machine operation will not be covered in this class.
