Reinhard Wirtgen Learning Center Is The Place To Learn
The world-class, 21,000-sq. ft. Reinhard Wirtgen Learning Center is revolutionizing the Wirtgen America Inc. Technical Service School experience!
Opened in 2009 on the expanded headquarters campus of Wirtgen America in suburban Nashville, the Learning Center provides an enhanced training environment that is making Wirtgen America the industry leader for customer and distributor product training and orientation.
This exciting building provides two lecture classrooms, each with 50-person capacity, and two laboratory classrooms, each with 50-person capacity. The lab classrooms will accelerate training for equipment electronics and hydraulics systems.
A four-bay training shop dedicated only to training eliminates the conflicts and distractions prevalent when training takes place in live service bays. And adjacent to the training bays is a fully equipped asphalt lab, including the WLB 10 S foamed asphalt mix lab and companion WLM 30 twin-shaft compulsory mixer.
The Learning Center has full multimedia capabilities including media networking, so video presentations can be done in multiple rooms simultaneously. This also means a live TV session can be done when it would be impossible to get a large number of people around a component or machine all at once. A camera operator in one lcation can document a presentation and the instructor can direct the operator as to what to show on screen in another location.
Another significant benefit is the 5-acre test track adjacent to the training center. This graded and compacted gravel lot allows for hands-on operations training with any of the Wirtgen Group products.
