Operator Training & Routine Maintenance - W200 Series Milling Machines (W 200 & W 210)
Who should attend:
The Operator Training & Routine Maintenance class is intended for W200 Series milling machine operators who are involved in the daily milling operation, perform daily maintenance, perform basic troubleshooting, make occasional minor repairs, and operate grade control.
The school is suitable for both experienced and inexperienced operating personnel who wish to learn more about the Wirtgen milling equipment. No prior knowledge of Wirtgen equipment is required.
This course is NOT intended for technical personnel who ordinarily deal with extensive repairs of milling machines; however, it does introduce students to basic troubleshooting and routine maintenance.
Overview:
The school will provide thorough familiarization of the operational controls, as well as the unique features of Wirtgen W200 Series milling machines. Emphasis will be placed on proper routine maintenance, especially drum maintenance.
Emphasis will also be place on how to set-up, operate and adjust the Wirtgen grade control system.
The class will consist of both lecture and lab/shop exercises.
Objectives: 2-day course
- Provide students with the knowledge for operating a W200 Series milling machine
- Acquaint students with Wirtgen documentation (manuals and electronic)
- Acquaint students with Wirtgen grade control system
- Provide students with the knowledge needed to perform proper routine maintenance
- Provide students with the knowledge needed to perform basic troubleshooting
- Provide information on wear parts inspections and proper replacement levels
