Wirtgen America Upgrades Business Operating System to SAP Software
Wirtgen America is continuing to plan for the future and one of the more immediate changes in our development is the upgrade of our business operating system to the well known SAP software. SAP delivers products and services that help accelerate business innovation for their users in small businesses and midsize companies to global organizations.
SAP’s vision for companies of all sizes is to become best-run businesses and is incorporated into the SAP business systems, allowing Wirtgen America to develop clarity across all aspects of our business, which allows us to act quickly with increased insight, efficiency, and flexibility. By using SAP solutions http://www.sap.com/solutions/index.epx, Wirtgen America can reduce costs, optimize performance, and gain the insight and agility needed to close the gap between strategy and execution. To help our customers get the most out of their investments in Wirtgen Group products is our primary objective so that our customers can maximize their business performance; our professional organization requires the appropriate tools to deliver the highest level of service and support http://www.sap.com/services/index.epx, which prompted this change in software.
In order to transition all information and inventory to the new system, Wirtgen America will process orders and ship parts for “machine down” type orders only, beginning December 23rd, 2009. Any stock orders you are planning to place before the end of the year must be received no later than December 15th, 2009 allowing us to process and ship before the transition period. Normal parts and shipping operations will resume January 4th, 2010. Emergency orders will be received and processed until December 23rd, 2009.
Parts returns or RGA shipments received between December 21st, 2009 and January 4th, 2010 will not be processed until we are back in normal operations mode.
This change will also result in slight changes to the forms such as invoices, credit memos, RGA’s, etc.
Best Regards,
Jan Schmidt
